Official (Experimental) Support for AMD GPUs on windows.

As of v0.3.61 we are now publishing experimental standalone packages for windows that should work on AMD GPUs.

The AMD GPU driver on: this page is recommended for best results.

You can find the link for the latest AMD portable: Here or by browsing the releases section of this repo.

To use it just extract it, put the model files in the correct subfolders of: ComfyUI/models/ and then run it with the run_amd_gpu.bat

AMD support will be added eventually to our desktop installer once the experience is good enough, for now please try the portable and let us know how well (or how badly) it works.

under AMD Product Family Compatibility, i notice 7800xt is not listed. Is it in the family of the 7900? or is 7800xt not able to be supported what so ever?

You should try it, 7800 xt has the same instruction set so it should work.

The embedded pytorch seems based on 2.8. Is this a build you did, or is it a build by AMD? I ask because it doesn't seem like this pytorch contains aotriton which should dramatically increase performance. I highly recommend creating a build using TheRock https://github.com/ROCm/TheRock which will let you build pytorch main branch with aotriton enabled.
