Splotch Installation Guide

Splotch is a modding tool for Modding Bopl Battle. Follow the steps below to install Splotch and begin modding your game.

Installation Steps

1. Download the Latest Release:

   • Visit the [Releases Page](github link here) to download the latest release.
   • Ensure compatibility with your version of Bopl Battle.

2. Extract Files into the Bopl Battle Directory:

   • Extract ALL OF the contents of the downloaded release into the game files directory of Bopl Battle.
   • The files are located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Bopl Battle\

3. Generate Mod Folder:

   • Start the game after extracting the files.
   • Upon starting, a folder named splotch_mods should be automatically generated within the game directory.

4. Install Mods:

   • Place any mods you wish to install into the splotch_mods folder.
   • Ensure that the mods you download are compatible with both Splotch and your version of Bopl Battle.

5. Restart the Game:

   • After placing the mods in the splotch_mods folder, restart the game.
   • You should see the names of the installed mods appear in the bottom right corner of the main menu.

Updating Splotch

• To update Splotch, follow a similar procedure to the installation steps:
  1. Download the latest release of Splotch.
  2. Replace existing Splotch files with the newly downloaded ones in the game directory.
  3. Ensure that any configuration files or settings are retained or updated as necessary.

Additional Notes

• Compatibility: Ensure that mods are compatible with both Splotch and your version of Bopl Battle to prevent potential conflicts or issues.
• BepInEx Compatibility: If using BepInEx, ensure that the doorstop_config.ini file is from Splotch to maintain compatibility.
