How to create a scatterplot?

In the manual it's stated, that to create a scatterplot you need to set the stroke thickness of the plot to none, but for me that removes it completely.

Am I doing something wrong or is there a way to create scatterplots?

Add mark: "x" (or any other supported shape).

Thanks, that makes sense. I just didn't think of that.
One more thing, how do I change the color of a plot, error bar, etc. In the manual I found the style parameter which needs to of the dictionary type, but I only got as far as a "cannot loop over color" error.

The following works for me:
