Thanks for the directions to enable AI Control Center and AI Chat. I am trying AI Chat and receive the message "A connection error to the external API endpoint has occurred."

Hi, sorry to hear you have issues. I just tried to reproduce and have the identical settings in Gemini connector, it works without issue. So it probably is an issue with your Google account. To receive further debug information, please enable debug mode on your instance and have a look at the browser console.

If there is no telling error message, assign your Gemini tool to the purpose "Single prompt", click on the icon in the chat input bar and use the free prompt field there. This should give you better debug output to the browser console.
