Microphone permissions not working

When trying to access the microphone permission i am receiving a error on the tauri backend. The other permission when tested worked fine. I am getting thread panicked error. Will post the full log below.

I just did a simple implementation by calling the ** checkMicrophonePermission** in svelte. I dont think there was anyting wrong with the callback on js side. I also tried the screenaudiocapture but that is working fine. I dont think i did anything wrong but any help is appreciated.

Hi everyone! I’m experiencing the same issue with the microphone. I discovered it in my own project, and then ran your example and got the same error.

The problem lies in requestAccessForMediaType and passing None as the completionHandler.

Environment:
OS: Sonoma 14.1
Rust: 1.84.0

sorry for the late response, was busy with some stuff. Ya, i can record it. The problem is, when tested the microhphone permission, there is no permission prompt, it just throws the error as mentioned above. I will record a video as soon as i got home.

sudo tccutil reset Microphone xxx

xxx represents the application’s bundle identifier, such as com.apple.spotlight.

You can try running this command to reset the app’s microphone permissions and see if it still throws an error!

Here's my solution. It's recommended to run tccutil reset Microphone in the terminal beforehand (to reset all microphone permissions):

@lawliet-eng Permissions cannot be reset before every request. Ideally, you should be able to determine if the permission has been denied by the user before, or if it has already been authorized in another version of the app, so that you can more effectively decide if you need to reset the permission.
