dialog: dialogs positioned at bottom of parent. closeTo animations don't work and block out background on IE11

Actual behavior: Angular material dialog boxes not opening and closing as they should in Internet Explorer.

• What is the issue? *
  When i am used it in IE11 it does not open from the Alert Button and also not closing to the button. Although it works fine in chrome/safari.

• What is the expected behavior?
  Angular material dialog box should open from and close to the dialog button.
