Test database outside application

Is there a way to test a SQLite database outside of an application with this package?

I tried a simple setup, but i kept running into a TypeError: cannot read property open of undefined error.

So I guess my question is, how can I use this module's methods to connect to a local SQLite database in order to do some tests?

You cannot use local SQLite database at this moment. Code would have to be changed to allow such a setup but I suppose it would be a good enhancement.

@half-shell, could you elaborate on what are you trying to achieve?

As I understand, you want to create Android and iOS test applications without integration of the react-native framework. Your test will call react methods directly to emulate the behavior of the App. But there is no way to configure custom database location this is where you stuck.
Did I get you correctly?

@half-shell, I think it is possible even now.
If you want a java test - you could mock the NativeReadableMap, Promises, and friends with the Mockito framework.
Though, I guess it is better to refactor the code.

In case of js test - anyone is welcome to contribute, shouldn't be hard.

I have another big refactoring sitting in the review without any response for a month already.
I prefer to have it merged before starting something else as otherwise, I would have to resolve merge conflicts with it.
