Help migrating to Trillium from SilverBullet

Hello,
I'm looking to migrate a few years worth of pages from SilverBullet (https://github.com/silverbulletmd/silverbullet) to Trillium. My main concerns are how I can handle backlinks to other pages which look like the below

and how I can handle images which are stored in assets folder and linked to from the page like this:

Any help would be appreciated regarding the best way to migrate this across.

Here's how you can approach migrating from SilverBullet to TriliumNext Notes:

For backlinks: Trilium doesn't use the [[wikilink]] Markdown syntax. Instead, it uses internal HTML links that point to note IDs or paths. You'll need to convert your [[Page Name]] links to Trilium's internal link format. In practice, this means after importing your notes, you should use Trilium's UI to re-create these links—either by using the link dialog (Ctrl+L) or the inline @ autocomplete, which lets you search and link to other notes. Trilium supports both reference links (which mirror the target note's title and auto-update) and regular hyperlinks. Backlinks are then automatically tracked and visualized in the UI—no manual backlink syntax is needed. More details are in the user guide.

For images: Trilium does not automatically import image files referenced in Markdown. When you import your Markdown notes, only the text and image links are imported—not the actual image files. You'll need to manually upload each image into Trilium (as a child note or attachment), then update the image links in your notes to point to the uploaded images. The process is: import your Markdown file, upload each image, and edit the note to update the image link to use the Trilium image's URL or attachment path. See this discussion for more info.

There are currently no automated tools for migrating directly from SilverBullet to Trilium, so some manual work is required for both backlinks and images. If you have a large number of notes, scripting the conversion of [[wikilinks]] to Trilium's internal link format before import may help, but image handling will still require manual uploads.

How many notes do you have? I'm interested in determining whether it's feasible to do the changes on your own without any automation.

If you could provide me some sample files, I could try to add support for Markdown imports with wikilinks directly in Trilium.

There are also some tools such as Trilium.py that might be able to help you.

Thank you for taking the time to even look at this issue, I imagine you're incredibly busy and I do appreciate it.

In total I've got 2000 pages, split over 2 journals for home and work.

I've attached an example with backlinks to pages and images, it should be platform agnostic but just in case I created in SilverBullet the "/space" directory of the container just needs pointing to the root of the directory and the username + password are "admin". The only pages and images I've created are in the "assets", "journal" and "other" folders.

@SpaceRaceMouse , I've had a look at it, interesting.
What I find most peculiar is that it uses root-relative paths instead of relative paths based on the current folder.
This introduces a slight complexity but it can be done.

I'll try to provide you with something this weekend.

For the sample you have provided, it seems that wikilinks and wikistyle image imports work.
