I'm using the automatic translation feature in Subtitle Edit with the Gemini Pro API. I've encountered a recurring issue where some lines are skipped during the translation process. The original text either remains untranslated or is completely deleted, leaving a blank line.
After some troubleshooting, I believe the problem is related to the "Delay between server calls" setting. The maximum value allowed in the UI is 100 ms. This appears to be too low for the Gemini Pro API, as it may cause frequent timeouts or rate limit issues, resulting in some translation requests failing.
I've noticed that increasing the "Maximum bytes in each server call" setting helps to some extent, but the low delay limit remains a bottleneck.
Could you please consider increasing the maximum value for "Delay between server calls" to a higher number, perhaps 500 ms or 1000 ms? This would likely improve the reliability and stability of the Gemini Pro translation feature, especially for longer subtitle files.
Thank you for your consideration and for your work on this excellent software.
