I was thinking what about using a more robust and universal notification-system?

Maybe pushover to get a notification in windows outside of obsidian.

Hi ! For my use I combine Task Genius with Reminder which has an option for desktop notifications. Just be aware to not use the "@" format in Reminder, because it overlaps with "context" in Genius ;)
