I suggest replacing the outdated contributors list—currently in static HTML—with the widget from:

I have requested OAuth access to create the widget.

This way, updated statistics and top contributors will be automatically displayed, providing a more professional solution that’s also widely used in many other GitHub projects.

Imho the old-fashioned list is not for stats, its for naming "all-contributors".

Maybe add it, but it shouldnt be a replacement,

Okay, we can keep the list of all contributors from the beginning of the project, but I was wondering about the sorting logic?

There is no sorting logic. IIRC @kkrieger85 added the list manually. "all-contributors-bot" only add new entries to the end.
