Commit Diff Buffer Too Small

When viewing a commit, the diff preview opens in a narrow buffer on the left side of the interface. This limited width makes it difficult to read code changes, especially for longer lines or multi-file diffs. I’d like to increase the size of this buffer to improve readability and navigation. My configuration:

I don't use any plugin which automatically changes the buffer size like focus.nvim

That's weird. I don't go out of my way to resize anything - not sure whats causing that behavior

I tried removed other using plugins and all vim.opt and still got the same issue.
My neovim version:

NVIM v0.12.0-dev-1365+gb938638d2d
Build type: RelWithDebInfo
LuaJIT 2.1.1753364724
