I loaded your base user.js into C:\Users%username%\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\ak2woe77.default-release
and tested a config such as // user_pref("mailnews.start_page.enabled", false);
but when I tested it, it always shows true. It's like ThunderBird isn't accepting the user.js file?

0102 (mailnews.start_page.enabled) is disabled by default in template. Have you tried by uncommenting it ?

Thanks, sorry I didn't realise that // was uncommenting it within the code.
Had to get ChatGPT to tell me that!
