Notebook fails due to item not being available for the analyze_us_tornadoes.ipynb notebook sample

The notebook relies on searching for an item:
data = gis.content.search('Tornadoes_and_Tracks owner: api_data_owner',
'Feature layer', outside_org=True)

This item is not publicly shared, so it returns no results an the remainder of the process cannot be executed.
When I hit the item link in the notebook:

I get prompted to Sign in to Python API Test.
