how to tell if --help was passed

Apologies if this is obvious, but it's not to me and I can't seem to find it in the examples.

If -h/--help is supplied, the library outputs a help message, but how do I know in my code that it was supplied?

you can either catch the exception thrown with the help and do something in the exception handler, or
app["--help].count() will be >0 if the help command was given
