vertical lift module - vibration testing #216

Description

Using Reed R7000SD. I also needed to purchase SD card https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B004ZIENBA, and bought https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B09Z6JCKL7 just in case the person who's doing the testing doesn't have the right adapter.

Aside: Almost sounds like it has internal memory, but then again maybe not ("integrated" is ambiguous here). Either way, still getting the SD card mentioned above

Also found the recommendation for type:

There is a manual here: https://www.reedinstruments.com/product/reed-r7000sd-data-logging-vibration-meter

The procedure would be to set it up in data logging mode (instructions in manual on page 16) and hook it up to the tray using the magnetic base adapter (instructions on page 9)

For the VLM workflow:

  1. Move the tray with the sensor (we'll call this "device tray") from the picking position into a storage position (e.g., back row near bottom)
  2. While the device tray is in storage, bring out a different tray
  3. Put the tray back
  4. Take out the original tray

Can be repeated, as well as tried out with different storage positions.

Ideally it would be good to have a phone camera or laptop camera sitting on the tray and recording a video to help correlate the time and the steps loosely with the data. Even just recording the process from the outside would be fine too.
